NPS Wants You to Try ‘Green Friday’ Instead of Black Friday
The National Park Service (NPS) is encouraging people to give “Green Friday” a try instead of Black Friday. NPS calls Green Friday a new tradition in which Americans go outdoors and visit national parks and public lands on the Friday after Thanksgiving in lieu of going shopping. An NPS post on social media spoofs the biggest shopping day of the year by sharing Green Friday “deals.”
