Now in a Tandara, ‘RVLove’ Featured in ‘Roads & Stays’ Mag – RVBusiness – Breaking RV Industry News
After nine years of exploring North America in motorhomes, best-selling RV authors of “Living the RV Life” and “RV HACKS”, Marc and Julie Bennett of RVLove.com have switched to travel with a truck and fifth-wheel.
The couple just revealed their new RV is a 2021 Tandara 285RL, which they tow behind a Ford F250 Superduty truck, according to a release.
Their new setup caught the attention of Harvest Hosts, which featured Marc and Julie and their new rig as the cover story for the winter 2024 issue of “Roads & Stays” magazine at a scenic Harvest Hosts location in Colorado.
“We were impressed with East to West when we toured the Ahara 365RL during the 2022 RV Business RV of the Year Awards” explained Marc Bennett. “And this Tandara is very similar. It’s the perfect size for a couple, and with the luxury and four season packages, offfered everything we really wanted. At an affordable price point, it had good bang for the bucks, too!”
“Plus, when the RV showed up and we learned Tandara was the Australian indigenous word for ‘camp here‘ it felt serendipitous” added Julie, who moved to the USA from Australia in 2008.
Since the Bennetts first started RVing in 2014, they have traveled in rigs ranging from a Class A gas and a Class A diesel motorhome, to Class C gas and diesel motorhomes, a van, and a small travel trailer.
“Marc finally convinced me to get a fifth wheel” says Julie. “I’m actually surprised how much we both love it so far! It’s a different style of travel for sure, but we’re both enjoying the comforts and the living space, as well as the chance to experience firsthand the pros and cons of fifth-wheel travel life and travel, and share that with our audience.”
The Bennetts connected with their RV community at the Quartzsite RV Show last month, where they hosted travel seminars at the Thousand Trails booth, a book signing at the Battle Born Batteries booth, and fireside chats at the Harvest Hosts booth.
“We got to speak with all kinds of people at various stages of their RV life, and helped some of them workshop what next RV might be best for them.” Said Marc Bennett.
“There’s no one size fits all. And having such a breadth and depth of experience now, across multiple RV types; full timing vs. part-time RVing; motorized and towables, and rigs big and small, means we’re really able to effectively coach people and narrow down to the right RV for their specific needs.”
“A lot of people are surprised when they start RV shopping and realize it is not as simple as buying a car. Being able to demystify the process and cut through the noise, and confusion give them the confidence to make such a large ticket – and often life changing – purchase.”
“That’s the whole purpose of our books, blog, courses, and all of our content” explained Julie. “To make the road ahead easier for others. Being able to share our new experiences with a fifth wheel only adds a deeper dimension to all that.”
