Northern Wholesale Show Wraps Up with Industry Awards – RVBusiness – Breaking RV Industry News

REDWING, Minn .– The 2023 Northern Wholesale Supply Distributor Show concluded Thursday at the Treasure Island Casino in Redwing, Minn.

Compared to last year, the sales results for exhibiting vendors were a mixed bag. Several suppliers reported sales at the show being up over last year, while other suppliers said their business activity was down somewhat. Given the headwinds of the economy and RV shipments being down in 2022, however, this was expected.

Foot traffic on the trade show floor seemed lower compared to 2022, but Darrell Higgins with Dura Faucet reported, “This was a good for show us. I didn’t know what to expect, but when I reviewed the numbers, our sales exceeded 2022.”

Newcomer Newcorp, maker of the RV brand Makerz, enjoyed its inaugural event as well. Founder Joe Newell shared with RVBusiness,” We are excited to be at the show and with the response we received. The presentation we did during our seminar went great and we are very pleased with the show.”

After the show floor closed, Steve Johnson of Northern Wholesale handed out several awards for best new product, supplier of the year and sales rep of the year.

Brad Vander Pol of Demco

Brad Vander Pol from Demco won Sales Representative of the Year for the second year in a row. As he walked up to receive his award, a voice from the crowd shouted “three-peat,” cheering on Vander Pol to win again next year.

Progress Manufacturing was beckoned from packing up its booth on the floor so the company could receive its Supplier of the Year award. Johnson noted that the voting was so close that the top candidates were only separated by a handful of votes.

PullRite

The 2024 Product of the Year went to PullRite for its new OEX Series Superlite Hitch 25K for Ford. Representatives Nick Moreland and Brandon Miller accepted the award. National Sales Manager Scott Later said, “Nick and Brandon did a great job of presenting the new product line to the Northern dealers.”

Fleming Sales

For runner-up Product of the Year, Caryn Grady of Fleming Sales accepted for the Blackstone 28-inch Omnivore Limited Edition Bundle.

The show concluded with a casino night where participants played various blackjack and poker games to win raffle tickets for prizes supplied by Northern vendors.
