NHTSA Releases its Most Recent Installment of RV Recalls – RVBusiness – Breaking RV Industry News
EDITOR’S NOTE: The following is the latest list of RV and RV-related recalls compiled by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Per strict NHTSA protocols, manufacturers will next notify its dealer partners of the recall notice. Each notice will include details of the affected vehicles as well as the appropriate remedy.
Grand Design RV is recalling 21,982 2019-2024 Grand Design Solitude fifth-wheel trailers. The step tread joints may be unsupported, causing the tread to break. The remedy program is currently under development. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed May 1. Owners may contact Grand Design customer service at 1-574-825-9679. Grand Design’s number for this recall is 910048.
Forest River Inc. is 156 certain 2024-2025 Rockport work trucks. The incorrect fasteners may have been used to install the optional E-Track Cargo Tie Down system. Dealers will install the correct fasteners, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed March 19. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-522-7599. Forest River’s number for this recall is 65-1894.
Storyteller Overland is recalling 120 2024-2025 MODE XO vehicles. The seat assembly’s floor mounting system may be improperly welded, which can cause the seat assembly to loosen or detach. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 207, “Seating Systems.” The remedy is currently under development. Jayco Inc. is recalling 1,106 2021-2025 Entegra Coach Launch, 2022 Launch LE, 2021-2025 Jayco Terrain, and 2022 Terrain LE recreational vehicles. The grey water tank support brackets may contact and damage the fuel tank, causing a leak. Dealers will replace the support brackets, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed March 28. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267. Jayco’s number for this recall is 9903619.
Winnebago Industries Inc. is recalling 696 2025 Minnie Winnie, Navion, Porto, Spirit, View, and Vita recreational vehicles. The LP tank mounting bracket fasteners may have been improperly tightened, causing the tank to detach. Dealers will inspect and correctly tighten the LP tank mounting assembly, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed April 10. Owners may call Winnebago customer service at 1-800-537-1885. Winnebago’s number for this recall is 195.
