NHTSA Releases its Most Recent Installment of RV Recalls – RVBusiness – Breaking RV Industry News
EDITOR’S NOTE: The following is the latest list of RV recalls compiled by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Per strict NHTSA protocols, manufacturers will next notify its dealer partners of the recall notice. Each notice will include details of the affected vehicles as well as the appropriate remedy.
Alliance RV LLC (Alliance) is recalling 60 2023-2024 Paradigm 295MK, 310RL, 340RL, 370FB, 382RK, 385FL, 390MP, and 395DS travel trailers. The breakaway switch and trailer brakes may not activate when needed due to an incorrectly wired breakaway switch. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Oct. 10, 2023.
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling 18,513 2023 F-Super Duty F250, F350, and F450 vehicles equipped with the Pro Trailer Hitch Assist feature. The default rearview camera image may not be displayed when using the Pro Trailer Hitch Assist feature. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Sept. 18, 2023.
Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling 16 2024 Coachmen Beyond, Galleria, and Nova motorhomes, equipped with certain SmartPlug 30-Amp Shore Power Inlets. The manganese bronze D-rings may crack or fail when over-tightened. Owner notification letters were mailed Aug. 16, 2023.
Grand Design RV, LLC (Grand Design) is recalling 1,209 2022-2024 Momentum 23G and 25G travel trailers. The installed safety chains are underrated for the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Sept. 6, 2023.
