NHTSA Releases its Most Recent Installment of RV Recalls – RVBusiness – Breaking RV Industry News
EDITOR’S NOTE: The following is the latest list of RV recalls compiled by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Per strict NHTSA protocols, manufacturers will next notify its dealer partners of the recall notice. Each notice will include details of the affected vehicles as well as the appropriate remedy.
Airstream, Inc. (Airstream) is recalling 19 2019-2023 Ford Transit, 2020 RAM, and 2020-2022 Sprinter recreational vehicles upfitted by Creative Mobile Interiors. The fuel hose between the inline fuel filter and the injection pump module (IMP) may have inadequate clamp force, possibly resulting in a gasoline leak. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Sept. 25, 2023.
Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling 1,280 2023 Freightliner M2, FCCC MT 55G Walk in Van Chassis, FCCC S2C-106 Conventional Cab & Chassis, FCCC MC Chassis, and Thomas Built SAF-T-LINER C2 vehicles. The driveshafts can break under certain loading conditions. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 30, 2023.
Starcraft RV (Starcraft) is recalling 17 2023 Super Lite Maxx travel trailers. The trailers may have been manufactured without a secondary emergency exit window. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Sept. 8, 2023.
Highland Ridge RV (Highland Ridge) is recalling 11 2023-2024 Highland Ridge Range Lite Air travel trailers. The trailers may have been manufactured without a secondary emergency exit window. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Sept. 8, 2023.
General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling 3,893 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, 3500, and GMC Sierra 2500, 3500 vehicles. The steering gear shaft may fracture and disconnect from the steering arm. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Sept. 18, 2023.
