Nexus RV Continues Super C Success with 2024 Wraith 37F – RVBusiness – Breaking RV Industry News

Nexus RV looks to continue its success in the Super C segment with its new 2024 Wraith 37F, built on the Freightliner S2 RV chassis.

Speaking from inside the new coach at its Elkhart, Ind., facility, Nexus President and Co-founder Dave Middleton said the coach is all new for the independent motorized RV manufacturer.

“It’s the new Freightliner with 340 horsepower, with rear air ride, exhaust brake, and air-driver/passenger seats. We have typically, done our Super Cs on the International chassis and introduced a Chevy in our more affordable models,  but this is the first on the Freightliner chassis. We debuted it at the Hershey Show, and it was a huge hit there as well as at the Elkhart Show,” said Middleton.

He said Nexus is tapping into the Freightliner fans in the marketplace with a more affordable and accessible Super C.

“You’ve got a lot of freight liner people out there,” he said. “It’s just a segment that for this price point, is the best value out there in the Super Cs. A lot of manufacturers build on the Freightliner, but at a much higher price ticket. This is a fully loaded, 37 foot, bath and a half. All real hardwood doors, hidden hinges, full body deluxe paint, 50-amp service. It’s not missing anything. Three televisions, surround sound system, it’s a fully loaded Super C, so we didn’t cut any corners on it, but the MSRP is in the $280,000 range. We can do this because the Super C segment, is our bailiwick.”

Nexus builds Class Cs and B Plus offerings in four different price points as well as in the Super C segment.

“So we really have a lot of price points that the other manufacturers aren’t able to accomplish,” he explained. “Our price points range from $210,000 up to $300,000 MSRP of course. Many manufacturers, in this caliber of coach are well over $320,000.

With the first models just off the manufacturing line. Middleton estimated The new Wraith 37F Built on the Freightliner S2 RV Chassis has a cargo capacity well over 3,000 pounds.

“It’ll tow 10,000 pounds with that 340 horsepower Cummings engine,” he added getting into more detail. “This coach is going to weigh around 20,000  pounds. We’re offering more selections of cabinetry, floor plans, price points. So we went into the Hershey Show with more this year than last year.

“We have full solar prep. for the boondocking crowd. A lot of manufacturers will just run the wire. We have the panel and everything installed on all of them. So that if you want to add the solar, and we offer solar, it’s just plug and play. Everything’s ran for you. So you just plug it in and hit the button. Hot water is Fogatti Tankless.”

He addressed the demographic he is after.

“You’ve got people that were typically diesel pusher, Class A type buyers,” he shared. “Lots of these folks are downsizing. It’s just easier to maneuver in a super C. The serviceability is a lot easier. There’s way more service centers that’ll work on a Super Cs versus a diesel pusher. The AC is factory and works better. The dash is from the OEM and solid. So we’re seeing that buyer looking to downsize and make it easier.”

For these reasons he is seeing an increasing interest in conventional B Plus and Super C coaches and is lining up price points to market to those buyers.

“Because of the segments and the price points we offer we have customers that are in the  Class C, that want to get into the supers C, but the price tag’s always been out of reach,” concluded Middleton. “Well now, with our new product lineup, we’ve got a Verrado for that next step up the next step from a Class B going into a Super C for just over $200,000. We’re offering Super Cs, from 28 foot up to 37 foot. From a full wall slide, all the way up to a 37 foot, with a bath and a half. And I don’t think we’ve missed anything.”
