“While we will keep the group there going, we have decided to start our own RV community free of all the ‘Big Tech’ dramas of Facebook,” announced founders Mike and Jennifer Wendland, who run the RV Lifestyle blog.
The community, added Mike Wendland, is committed to remaining free and unrestricted and will be managed by the RV Lifestyle team, ensuring a more positive and respectful online environment for members. The platform aims to provide a helpful resource where RVers can ask questions, share tips, get advice and connect with like-minded enthusiasts without the issues commonly found on Facebook.

“Our early members are telling us they absolutely love this new group,” said Wendland, highlighting the welcoming and supportive nature of the RV community. “There is something special about camping that breaks down differences and brings out the best in all of us. This new community reflects all that and we think will be a valuable resource for the RV community for years to come.”
It the first day of the new community’s launch this week, 2,000 members signed up. Since then, new signups have been averaging about 100 every hour, said Wendland.
Many of the new members cited their frustrations with Facebook for joining, saying that they resented the nastiness of Facebook and the censorship issues that have plagued all of Big Tech.
