CONROY, Ark. – Moix RV Friday and Saturday (May 17-18) hosted a grand opening celebration at its all-new Brinkley RV-exclusive dealership that attracted a crowd of curious consumers eager to check out the latest floorplans from one of the industy’s newer OEMs.

“It went very well,” said Nate Goldenberg, co-owner at Brinkley RV, which began operations two years ago this month in Goshen, Ind., and currently boasts 750 employees. “The dealership is very nice – great location, really good marketing and signage and the whole staff had Brinkley shirts. Customers were coming in from all over. It was just a really nice event. Things went really well from Brinkley’s perspective.”

The event included a free VIP party with live music by TJ Ashley, a Brinkley owners mingle, food and drinks, and chances to win giveaways. Several Brinkley RV models were on display for attendees to view and Brinkley RV personnel were onsite to provide information.

Brad Barnett, Moix RV general manager, told RVBusiness this morning that, “We are more than amazed by the response from the public and the support from the gracious Brinkley owners. They had an incredible presence at our Grand Opening and cared enough to not only engage with customers but to answer questions and explain what makes a Brinkley a Brinkley.”

Barnett added that Moix is looking forward to a longstanding relationship with Brinkley RV and, “We are excited about our partnership as ‘customer service companies that just happen to sell RVs.’ We believe the sky’s the limit.”

Goldenberg told RVBusiness the Brinkley-exclusive concept is aimed at providing consumers interested in the brand a comprehensive look at its offerings.

“The store is really a sales location that’s exclusively focused on Brinkley, which is a new thing for us,” he said. “We get the sales focus and then we get the expertise of the rest of the dealership. It’s a perfect combination. And the way that (Moix RV president) Michael Moix has it set up, it’s pretty amazing, honestly,” he said.

The store is adjacent to the dealership’s main location, Goldenberg explained, “which which is really nice for us because of the way that they operate and conduct business at the main store. They have a great service reputation. They have a new service center. So, although it’s a Brinkley-exclusive store, the Moix organization has been there since the mid-’70s. So, we get to have the sales location that’s exclusively focused on our brand. Yet, at the same time, we have an opportunity to leverage all the experience and reputation of a dealership that’s been there for decades.”

The brand-exclusive concept, which, of course, has been employed by the automotive industry for decades, is relatively new to the RV sector, with Camping World and Airstream employing the most single-brand locations, Goldenberg noted.

“For us, in this situation, I think it’ll be very successful,” he said. “Going forward, we’ll just have to look at the market, the opportunity and if it would make sense. But in this case, for us it was a no-brainer.”
