Meyer’s RV Announces Acquisition of Joe’s Marine in Pa.

CALEDONIA, N.Y. – Meyer’s RV, a leading RV dealer on the east coast recently purchased Joe’s Marine in Sayre Pa. Joe’s Marine is a full service boat and RV dealership located at 209 Spring St., Sayre, Pa., just minutes off I-86 at exit 61.

Meyer’s RV and Marine Sales as it will be called, will stock a full compliment of travel trailers, fifth wheels, motorhomes, fishing boats, pontoon boats and bowriders.

Joseph Burkhart Jr. of Joe’s Marine stated “This business was started by my parents more than 70 years ago as a bicycle shop. Over the next few decades, the store became a sporting goods dealer and then in 1960 my parents took on the Sea Ray franchise. Soon after they entered the RV industry. I started to work in the business in the 1960’s after graduating from college and returning to the family enterprise. Joe’s Marine has always been a family oriented business and after meeting the owners of Meyer’s RV, Mark Meyer and Mark Calzone, I quickly realized they had the same family and customer values that we have had all these years!  I knew it was the right fit for my employees and our customer base that my father and I have built up over the past 70 years.”

Kyle Smith, general manager of Meyer’s RV of Bath, N.Y., will take over the additional responsibility of overseeing the new Meyer’s RV and Marine Sales. Kyle said, “I’m excited for the opportunity to offer both the boat and RV customers in the Sayre, Pa., market a similar family owned and operated buying experience, now just at a larger scale. Joe’s Marine has three of the best boat brands in the boating industry with Sea Ray, Lund and Bennington.  We’re also excited to be able to offer East to West, Entegra motorized and Keystone Bullet, Cougar, Hideout, Montana and Outback on the RV side. There’s a lot to be excited about at Meyer’s RV and Marine Sales going forward.”
