Mercer to Provide Care Camps Update on Facebook Show Today

Jennifer Mercer, the director of development for Care Camps, is set to join “WCM’s Outdoor Hospitality Update” at 3 p.m. today (Aug. 30), to talk about how Care Camps is fairing in 2022 and on some of the initiatives that the organization has been focused on.

“WCM’s Outdoor Hospitality Update” is a weekly livestream program produced by Woodall’s Campground Magazine (WCM), a sister publication to RVBusiness. The program airs every at 3 p.m. every Tuesday on WCM’s Facebook or YouTube pages. The program is hosted by WCM Editor Ben Quiggle and Mike Gast, former vice president of communications at KOA and a senior writer for RVTravel.com.

Care Camps is a charity that sends kids battling cancer to specialized oncology camps where they can enjoy nature, childhood and fun. The charity helps support camps throughout the United States and Canada. You can learn more and donate by clicking here.

Through the generous support of Kampgrounds of America Inc. (KOA), Care Camps’ administrative costs are completely covered, giving Mercer the chance to focus on raising money to support the specialized camps. She continues to grow those fundraising efforts and companies, along with individuals, throughout the outdoor hospitality industry, have taken up the cause and are supporting Care Camps.

Mercer will talk about how park owners can help fundraise money for Care Camps, highlight how the camps it supports are doing since many had to close or restrict programming during the COVID pandemic and offer a glimpse into what she is working on for the future.
