Man’s Intense Showdown With Moose Goes Viral (See Why)

A man filmed a very intense encounter with a moose, and the video is going viral. Allagash Antlers posted the video to Instagram a few days ago, and it already has 136,000+ likes and well over 5,000 comments.

In the video, a man and a moose have a standoff at close range. The man is clearly trying to stand his ground and not startle the moose, which is already on high alert in the man’s presence. As the moose takes steps toward him, the man says: “That’s close enough, bud.”

At that, the moose opens its eyes hilariously wide and gives the man the kind of death stare that only a moose can.

Except it wasn’t hilarious for the man, who was still dangerously close to the moose after it didn’t back away.

Is that what you expected to happen? It seems like as soon as the man tried to take a step back, the moose tackled him. But we can’t blame him for trying to back away slowly, considering how intensely that moose was staring at him.
