Jayco Recognizes Its Dealers’ Success Stories at Homecoming – RVBusiness – Breaking RV Industry News

LAS VEGAS – Jayco Inc. capped off its 2023 Dealer Homecoming event by honoring several of its top dealers from the past year.

Several dignitaries were on hand for the banquet including THOR Industries Inc. President and CEO Bob Martin and RV Group Manager Matt Zimmerman.

Jayco’s signature award, the Founder’s Award, was presented to TerryTown RV of Grand Rapids, Mich. Representing the dealership were Tom, Connie and Gabrielle Selvius.

This award, established in 2002, honors a dealership whose ownership and management consistently reflect a dedication to outstanding sales and customer support and who, over an extended period of time, have demonstrated a loyalty and commitment to Jayco, whose professional operations have brought credit to Jayco and the RV industry, and embodies the spirit of the founders of Jayco.

Tom Selvius founded the dealership in 1973, piloted the business through the Arab Oil Embargo and became one of Jayco’s top carriers in the 1980s. By the 1990s, he acquired 100% ownership of the business and turned it into the “World’s Largest Jayco Dealer” five out of 10 times during that decade.

The first phase of the new RV Warehouse Showroom opened in April 2019 and fully opened for business in June 2022 when the sales department made the move to its new sales center.

“The TerryTown name still stands for excellent service and honest, fair dealings with

industry partners, friendly competitors, retail customers and employees,” said Trey Miller, Jayco’s vice president of marketing. “50 years in, Tom continues to oversee the day-to-day operations of TerryTown RV with the help of a trusted management team.”
