Heartland RV Intros Corterra 3.7 with Loft, 2nd Bedroom – RVBusiness – Breaking RV Industry News
ELKHART, Ind. – Heartland RV’s Corterra 3.7 is the latest addition to the crowd- pleasing new fifth-wheel brand, which debuted at the end of 2023. The spacious, innovative Corterra lineup stands out from the competition with luxurious features that make it as comfortable as it is functional, according to a release from the THOR Industries subsidiary.
Corterra 3.7 can sleep up to eight guests across the floorplan with distinct home areas, including a mid-bunk room, a loft, a main bedroom suite, and a kitchen. It measures 41 feet, 10½ inches long with 390 square feet of interior space, making it currently the largest of all the Corterra models.
Corterra 3.7 weighs 12,823 pounds dry with a gross vehicle weight rating of 15,000 pounds. It houses a 98-gallon fresh water tank, 57-gallon black and two 57-gallon gray tanks onboard. The defining feature distinguishing Corterra from other RV models is the expansive tinted window installed in the front cap that gives breathtaking panoramic views from inside the bedroom.
“When Corterra debuted at Tampa last winter, it made a huge impression thanks to its beautiful design, inside and out,” said Trent Brickner, product manager for Heartland RV. “The 3.7 is the largest Corterra model yet, with plenty of room for even large families to spend quality time together comfortably while giving each member personal space.”
A rear kitchen features a full suite of kitchen appliances anchored by the beautiful 16-cubic-foot glass-front fridge. Next to the large, stainless steel single-basin sink, there’s a wine and coffee bar with dedicated storage for wine bottles and a coffee maker. Cabinets, drawers, and a generously sized pantry provide ample storage space for kitchen equipment, dinnerware, and more. The dinette provides additional hidden storage under the tabletop, and dimmable strip lights throughout the coach are perfect for creating a dinnertime ambiance.
In the living area, there are three separate seating options: two theater-style loveseats with recliners and a trifold sofa that converts to a bed. They all face a smart TV overhanging an electric fireplace, which gives the living room a cozy feeling of togetherness for movie or game nights. There’s prep for a second TV in the middle bunk room, with another fold-out sofa so you can use it as a den or a second private bedroom. Above the bunk room, a loft space creates another private sleeping area for guests.
The main bedroom suite holds a king-sized bed, two wardrobe closets, an impressive 12 storage drawers, and a built-in pull-out laundry hamper. On each side of the bed, there are 110V outlets for powering CPAP machines or charging devices. A private entrance to the bathroom includes a separate cabinet prepped to hold a washer and dryer to make it easy to handle laundry on the road. In the bathroom, a backlit mirror over the sink and a glass shower give the room a high-end touch, but plenty of storage keeps the room grounded and utilitarian.
“Corterra 3.7’s distinctive layout includes a lot of flexible sleeping space, but it can also function as a deluxe couple’s coach,” Brickner said. “It comes with some of our most exciting new features that make camping more comfortable, convenient, and versatile, making any model in the Corterra line a great value for RV owners.”
Every Corterra fifth-wheel model has a standard SŌL 190 solar package, which includes a 190- watt solar panel with a roof-docking port, a 30-amp charge controller, a pre-wired inverter fuse kit, and up to eight outlets that can accept solar energy. Heartland’s standard proprietary wiring hub, The Vault, gives campers a streamlined box to hold breakers and fuses and features color- coded wires that make maintenance and upgrades more accessible than ever.
Other tech features in the 3.7 are the upgraded tow box for smoother towing, auto-leveling with hitch memory, a universal docking station, and standard Goodyear tires pre-installed with a tire- pressure monitoring system. Switches to control the 19-foot power awning, LED awning lights, and front cap lights sit inside the pass-through storage compartment alongside the controls for the solar energy system. A heated and enclosed underbelly protects Corterra’s pipes and tanks from road debris and cool weather. And the new TRIO Airflow A/C units provide climate control that’s quieter, more powerful, and more efficient than most other models on the market.
