‘Glorious’ Giant Cuttlefish Appears Too Beautiful to Be Real (Video)
Who would have thought that an “elderly male Australian giant cuttlefish” would be the most beautiful thing you see on the internet today? Seriously, though, how gorgeous is this cuttlefish, which David Phan spotted and recorded in Cabbage Tree Bay, Sydney, Australia? The video shows the cuttlefish swimming along, apparently exerting its dominance over younger, smaller males in the bay by flashing its bright colors. Phan calls the stunning creature “Grandpa Cuttlefish.”

“Using special skin cells [cuttlefish] generate dazzling light displays and patterns to warn other males to stay away,” wrote Phan in an Instagram post showing two males fighting over a nearby female. In his video posted last week, however, it’s just Grandpa Cuttlefish being his stunning self.
