FRVTA Participates in Florida/Alabama Association Panel – RVBusiness – Breaking RV Industry News

ORLANDO Fla. – The Florida RV Trade Association (FRVTA) participated in an Industry Panel at the recent Florida and Alabama RV Park and Campground Association (FARVC) Conference.

Dave Kelly, FRVTA executive director participated alongside RVIA’s Chris Bornemann, RVTI’s Curt Hemmeler, KOA’s Nichole Poisson and Scott Bahr of Cairn Consulting. The panel discussed trends and concerns with the RV industry from the dealer, campground, manufacturer and training perspectives, according to a press release from the RVTA.

The panel agreed that while the industry has cooled off from the record set in 2022, the interest in RVing remains strong and 2024 looks to be better than 2023 in terms of RV shipments. Consolidation, insurance and interest rates remain serious concerns to all areas of the industry.

One of the most encouraging signs for Florida was the amazing number of campgrounds either being built or campgrounds that are adding sites. With Florida being the number one destination for  RVers, it’s important to have places for them to stay.

Visit Florida also presented a new campaign to promote Florida’s miles of hiking and biking trails. Florida offers a wide range of recreational opportunities and these experiences are what the younger RVs are looking for. The FRVTA State Convention will take place on Sept. 5-8 at the Renaissance Sea World in Orlando.
