Mink-S Teardrop

The Mink-S is a lightweight teardrop trailer designed and built by an Icelandic company called Mink Campers. This model has a GVWR of about 1,650 pounds, allowing it to be towed behind nearly any kind of vehicle, including an EV. Considering where it is made, it comes as no surprise that this towable is built for all-season camping, and its low center of gravity makes it ideal for off-road excursions over rough terrain.

Inside, the Mink-S features a cozy cabin with a plush queen-size memory foam mattress that’s perfect for relaxing after a long day on the trail. Skylights and large porthole-style windows allow plenty of natural light to reach the interior while providing opportunities for stargazing after dark. A canvas bunk bed adds additional sleeping space for a small child or doubles as hanging storage. An outdoor kitchen hides under a hatch located at the rear of the trailer.

X-Cabin 300

Somewhat resembling a mini-Airstream, the X-Cabin 300 is a highly versatile and functional RV. Like the Mink-S, this trailer also has a gross weight of around 1,650 pounds, which is especially impressive considering its size and aluminum-clad body. Measuring 15′ x 7′ x 7′, the towable rides on a chassis made by German manufacturer AL-KO, although it is built and sold by a 100-year-old Japanese company called Effect Meiji Corporation.

The X-Cabin is available in four models, three of which are designed for camping, and the fourth is built for commercial use. The highly customizable trailer is sold with an empty interior, allowing customers to customize it to meet their personal needs fully. The units do ship with onboard electrical systems to power LED lights and air conditioning, and each has a unique rear hatch for ventilation and enjoying the view at the campsite.

Mio Space Trailer

The Mio Space Trailer is the result of a collaboration between Japanese RV manufacturer Kworks and home goods giant Lixil. The result is a boxy little towable that resembles a retro-style cabin on wheels. Wood paneling further helps cement that impression, although the large panoramic windows, modern door, and rear hatch all hint that there is more here than meets the eye.

Versatility is the name of the game, as this RV is built for use wherever you need it. The interior is mostly a blank slate, providing plenty of opportunity for owners to customize as they see fit. A small kitchenette occupies the front of the trailer, but chairs, a desk, a bed, or other items can be added as needed. This allows the Mio Space Trailer to function as a mobile office space, a food trailer, or an RV for weekend getaways.

AntiShanty 4XD

Billed as the “ultimate off-road trailer,” the AntiShanty 4XD is a rugged towable built to go anywhere. Made from aircraft-grade aluminum, this towable weighs in at 1000-1500 pounds, depending on the options and configuration. The unit ships with an articulated hitch, flexible, independent suspension, and 29-40-inch all-terrain tires.
