Florida Troopers Rescue Dog Tied to a Pole Ahead of Hurricane Milton
State troopers in Florida found a dog tied to a fence pole along a highway in Tampa. Surely, everyone in the area knows about Hurricane Milton, right? Unfortunately, logic suggests the owners knew exactly what was coming and decided to leave the dog behind.
Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) posted a video of a trooper approaching the dog this morning, and the X post already has 6.5 million views. In the video, wind whips the grass and there’s already standing water, which the trooper wades through to reach the dog tied up to a fence. The dog barks and growls as the man draws near, but the trooper says, “It’s ok, it’s ok,” and “I don’t blame you, buddy.”
FHP Tampa wrote on X that troopers did indeed rescue the dog, and they urge others: “Do NOT do this to your pets please . . .”
