Flooding Won’t Stop These Folks From Getting a Hamburger

A bunch of rain hit areas of southern California this week, including Costa Mesa, a city in Orange County. David Read, who goes by @costamesadave on Instagram, shared a video of a flooded intersection that shows people trying to drive through it, sometimes unsuccessfully. But what the online community noticed most about this video is how busy the In-N-Out Burger still is, despite the rain and flooding. In fact, Read’s video shows cars continuing to brave the flood to get into the famed hamburger joint’s parking lot.

“Risking a engine for in n out is wild,” writes one commenter on Read’s video.

“People really like their burgers with a side of hydrolock sauce,” jokes another.

But the best comment, in my opinion, comes from a person who used to work at that In-N-Out. Mickey Kennedy wrote: “Can’t believe that street still floods like that. I worked at that In-N-Out in high school and was pulled by a 4 x 4 truck on my surfboard down that street we got pulled over by the cops, but they were laughing so hard they let us go.”
