Escape to one of the most popular beaches and stay at the Horseneck Beach State Reservation Campground in Westport. Located on the western end of Buzzard’s Bay, this two-mile stretch of beach has plenty of activities to keep everyone having a great time. Popular water-based activities include swimming, fishing, boating (both motorized and non-motorized), and sailing. The beach is also popular with bird watchers. Beach mats and beach wheelchairs are available, as well as accessible restrooms, picnic areas and camping.

Hampton Beach State Park is home to the state’s only RV campground that sits right on the coastline of New Hampshire and is at the mouth of the Hampton River. With 28 sites offering full hook-ups, this popular park is perfect for beach lovers and is open seasonally from Memorial Day through Columbus Day.

Guests can enjoy swimming, fishing, and even (seasonal) horseback riding on the beach. The park is conveniently located near local dining and entertainment options, including charter fishing and whale watching tours. All RVs must be completely self-contained; pop-ups and tents are not allowed at the campground at any time.

Plenty of attractions are available for you to pick from in Hampton. You can visit museums, go to the Smuttynose Brewing Company or Blue Lobster Brewery and sample their offerings, or try your hand at the casino. Kid-friendly activities include visiting the Blue Ocean Discovery Center, Captain’s Cove Adventure Golf or the Ocean World Oceanarium.

New York

Experience stunning Nickerson Beach Park in Lido Beach, New York, while making oceanfront Nickerson Beach Campground your home base. This pet-friendly campground can accommodate RVs up to 40 feet in length. Pick from more than 85 sites that offer full hook-ups including 15/20/30/50 amp electric, water and sewer. Restrooms and showers are available for guests’ convenience. With over 85 sites offering full hook-ups, including water and electric, this campground is perfect for families.

Activities include beach volleyball, skateboarding, and a par-3 golf course. Nearby, Long Beach offers additional attractions like surfing and dining, or you can take a day trip to Manhattan.

North Carolina

Located in North Carolina’s picturesque Outer Banks, Avon by the Sea RV Park is a highly rated campground just steps from the beach. With 26 back-in sites offering full hook-ups and Wi-Fi, it’s the perfect base for exploring the OBX.

Oregon

For stunning views of Oregon’s Pacific Coast, Sea Perch RV Resort in Yachats is the place to be. This resort offers nearly 30 RV sites, all within steps of Searose Beach, where you can enjoy beachcombing, walking, or simply relaxing by the ocean. All RVs must be completely self-contained and no boondocking is allowed. However, there are onsite restrooms, showers and laundry available, as well as a camp store, group kitchen, gym and rec room.

Nearby attractions include Cape Perpetua, with its miles of trails and unique geological formations like Devil’s Churn and Thor’s Well. Yachats State Park offers tide pools and whale-watching opportunities.

Rhode Island

Located along Block Island Sound, Charlestown Breachway in Rhode Island offers 75 campsites with stunning ocean views. While the campground lacks full hook-ups, its prime location and breathtaking scenery make it a popular choice. All RVs must be self-contained, as the campground doesn’t have any hookups nor available water to fill tanks. However, there is a state park (Burlingame) a few miles away where you can get water and use the dump station.

Spend your days fishing, swimming, or relaxing on the beach, and explore the local area by bike, kayak, or paddleboard. Nearby attractions include the Frosty Drew Observatory and Science Center.

South Carolina

Hunting Island State Park in Beaufort, South Carolina, offers five miles of pristine beaches and acres of maritime forest. The park’s 100-plus pet-friendly RV sites feature water and electric hook-ups, with easy access to the beach. Sparkling clean restrooms, laundry room, shower facilities, Wi-Fi and EV charging stations are also available for guests’ convenience. There are paths leading straight to the beach as well as a playground for the kids. Spend some time at the nature center, get needed items from the camp store or try your hand at fishing off the pier.

Explore the island’s trails, view the historic lighthouse (it’s 167 steps to the top, but closed indefinitely to tours for repairs as of this writing), or take a ferry to nearby St. Phillips Island for wildlife viewing. Beaufort also offers historic homes, dining, and shopping.

Virginia

A fisherman’s paradise, Tom’s Cove Park in Chincoteague, Virginia, offers over 900 RV sites with full hook-ups and Wi-Fi. The campground features three fishing piers, a boat ramp, and a marina, making it an ideal spot for water enthusiasts.

Nearby, explore Assateague National Seashore, the Chincoteague Wildlife Refuge, or visit the local Oyster Museum. Don’t miss the annual ‘pony penning’ event, where feral ponies are herded from Assateague Island and auctioned off.

Washington

Situated on part of the Makah tribe’s reservation, the oceanfront Hobuck Beach Resort offers both dry camping and RV sites with full hook-ups. Since it is on tribal land, you will need to purchase a ‘Makah Recreation Use Permit’ for each vehicle. The permits are available at the campground office. All campsites at Hobuck Beach Resort are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

 On the south end of the beach there are 10 RV sites that offer full hook-ups. Pull-through sites are available, and one tow vehicle can be kept at the site with no additional charge. Guests will have stunning views of the Pacific Ocean (but there is no camping on the beach itself). There are picnic tables and a bathhouse with showers for added convenience. A meadow on the northside has some cabins, roads that RVs can use to pick a spot, and room for 200-300 tents as well.

Explore the Makah Tribe Cultural and Research Center, try your hand at fishing, or enjoy the area’s excellent surfing conditions. The nearby Olympic National Marine Sanctuary is a bird-watching haven.
