Exclusive NIRVC Motorhome Expo Underway Near Nashville – RVBusiness – Breaking RV Industry News

NIRVC CEO Brett Davis, center, talks with customers at the NIRVC tent on a rainy Monday.

LEBANON, Tenn. – Just a few miles off Nashville’s bustling strip of honky tonks and music venues, a new breed of RV show is quietly making its debut.

The Wilson County Fairgrounds and the National Indoor RV Centers are hosting the 2024 Music City Motorhome Expo.
But if you’re expecting a huge show packed with thousands ofpotential buyers with lots of first-timers with pie-in-the-sky expectations, move along.

This show is far more selective. Small but significant.

“We’ve already exceeded our expectations,” NIRVC CEO Brett Davis told RVBusiness on Tuesday afternoon. “Tickets for the consumers are $1,500 and we only sold two tickets for each unit on display. So the people who are here are extremely serious buyers.”

Davis said the event will not be crowded and will be what he described as a setting that will be ideal for intimate discussions and allow potential buyers plenty of individual time with product experts and financial partners. Customers even will be able to test drive any unit on display.

Townsend and NIRVC’s Angie Morell celebrate Townsend’s test drive of a Tiffin motorhome.

In fact, RVers Tommy and Bonnie Townsend of Houston were climbing out of a 2025 Tiffin fresh off a Tuesday morning test drive with two of the biggest grins at the fairgrounds.

Tommy said he was amazed at the smooth ride of the large motorhome and expressed enthusiasm for the new Freightliner chassis.
“At NIRVC, we take pride in doing things differently,” said Angie Morell, director of sales. “This is a VIP shopping experience, so there’s no rush and no huge crowds. Buyers can even talk to the designers if they want to. There were 200 RVs registered for the campground, so that means 400 people. We are here to write orders or sell whatever is on the lot. We want to offer a fair deal so when that buyer is ready to trade, we want the salesperson to be able to look them in the eye.”

In a separate, indoor expo building, a handful of suppliers, campgrounds and adventure travel services also were set up to appeal to RVers.
Most of the vendors will be presenting seminars Wednesday and Thursday.
