EDITOR’S NOTE: The following is a column, written by RV Dealers Association (RVDA) President Phil Ingrassia, that was originally published in the August issue of RV Executive Today. It is reprinted here with permission.

When RV dealers and industry partners arrive at Paris Las Vegas in November for the RVDA Convention/Expo, the experience will be a lot different than it was just two years ago.

Throughout this issue you can read about some of the educational and networking opportunities that the RVDA Convention/Expo Committee and staff are working on to help dealers find solutions to the issue they are facing today,

In addition to the new workshops and industry topics that make up the heart and soul of the convention, it’s important to share some of the new developments at the Paris Las Vegas convention facility itself.

Because of the pandemic, some of the restaurants and entertainment areas were closed during the 2021 event. Since then, many amenities surrounding the Paris convention space are new or revitalized . . . and will be open to make the convention overall experience more enjoyable.

New at Paris Las Vegas

Since the last convention, Martha Stewart has introduced The Bedford restaurant based on the atmosphere of her famous farmhouse in Bedford, NY. The menu includes an array of homestyle cooking options for diners.

Vanderpump à Paris is a new location for restaurateur and reality TV star Lisa Vanderpump with her take on craft cocktails and French bistro standards. For sushi fans, Nobu has opened a new restaurant with 140 seats in a new dining space at Paris Las Vegas.

There are also great places to grab a quick bite, including Bobby Flay’s Burgers, Alexxa’s all-day restaurant, and JJ’s – along with more upscale favorites like Mon Ami Gabi and The Eiffel Tower Restaurant.  All told, there are 14 dining options at Paris Las Vegas.

Bally’s Las Vegas is Now The Horseshoe Las Vegas

The convention’s secondary hotel has been rechristened The Horseshoe and has new dining options to go along with its new look and new name.

Last month, Guy Fieri launched his latest Las Vegas restaurant, the Flavortown Sports Kitchen in the old Burger Brasserie space located along the walkway between Horseshoe and Paris, near the convention area entrance.

Jack Binion’s Steak is another new food-and-beverage outlet which offers a modern take on steakhouse classics.  Another new restaurant, from James Beard award winner and PBS TV chef Martin Yan, M.Y. Asia, just opened this spring.

Other changes at The Horseshoe include a new arcade area, featuring 80 super-sized games spread over 7,000 square feet on the hotel’s lower level, which is where the Bally’s sportsbook was located.

While the location of this year’s convention is familiar, it won’t be the same. There’s no doubt the industry was glad to get together during uncertain times of 2021 . . . and the 2023 experience at Paris and the Horseshoe should be even better.

See you in Las Vegas and thanks for your support!
