East To West RV Launches Della Terra LE Line at Dealer Expo

East To West RV, a division of Forest River Inc., introduced a new entry-level, conventional-built series for 2023 model year: The Della Terra LE (an Alta LE prototype also was featured at the company’s Dealer Expo).

The smaller, lighter LE line is offered in six single- and tandem-axle floorplans, but at a more attractive price point than the standard Della Terra line.

Worth singling out from this new Della Terra LE line – and representing a tremendous retail value in the marketplace – is the 175BH. The 175BH is a familiar double-over-double bunkbed floorplan with a Murphy bed up front. A three-piece bathroom, dinette slide opposite the galley and entry door complete configuration. Pass-through storage, 14-foot awning and a 10.7-cubic-foot two-door refrigerator are among the features.

All that in a unit that will retail for less than $20,000, said East To West General Manager Matt Olds, who oversees the Della Terra brand.

While the LE series might hit the market at a more affordable price, that’s not to say the units will compromise on the quality, features and functionality that East To West has become known for.

“I had dealers walking in LE models the other day,” Olds said, “and they didn’t realize they were in an LE. They thought they’re in my regular Della Terra, which is great.”

“What’s nice about launching this series is we were able to start with a clean slate, and figure out what’s important,” he continued. “We decided to do an 8-foot-wide unit. We wanted to make sure the sink was in the bathroom. We wanted to make sure we could put a bigger bet up front. We’re going to have a little more weight here and there, but we’re still hitting these sweet spots where we need to be for half-ton trucks and larger SUV tow vehicles.”

The whole idea, Olds pointed out, is to get more people out camping. “You don’t necessarily need a TV to do that. You don’t necessarily need an outside kitchen,” he said.

Olds said the LE series is a “natural progression” for the four-year-old Della Terra brand.

“A lot of our dealers have wanted more out of us than just a traditional conventional trailer. They want something lower price point, they want something lighter on weight and features, they want single axle products that we really haven’t been able to do the last couple years because of COVID and the demand and just parts,” Olds told RVBusiness.

However, with supply chain issues mostly in the rearview mirror – plus a new production facility dedicated to the Della Terra brand – he said the time was right to develop the LE series.
