ELKHART, Ind. – Through continuous efforts to overhaul the stocking, manufacturing, and delivery practices surrounding its RV awnings, the Dometic team has reduced waste, decreased delivery times, and increased overall efficiency of their RV Awning business to better serve customers, according to a press release from the company.
Dometic has improved its manufacturing processes by optimizing the total number of SKUs. As a result, the company has reported a reduced margin of error while increasing its overall manufacturing efficiency. By implementing a dedicated fleet of trucks solely for RV awnings, the team has significantly reduced travel time to their Goshen, Ind., warehouse, where they maintain inventory to ensure the fastest and most consistent delivery times to customers.
