Dog-Friendly Campgrounds RVers Love

Do you RV with your dog? You’re not alone. According to data from RVIA, more than 60% of RVers plan to bring at least one dog on their RV adventures. This has created a huge demand for dog-friendly campgrounds. Dog tourism really is a thing these days. Campgrounds have responded to this demand by welcoming campers who bring dogs, offering amenities such as dog parks, dog agility parks, dog bathing stations (complete with dog shampoo and conditioner), doggie daycare, and everything else that makes dogs and their owners happy. That’s why we’re looking at a “pawful” of campgrounds that offer outstanding amenities for dogs and their humans.

Many Kampgrounds of America (KOA) campgrounds offer dog amenities. KOA holiday and resort campgrounds that offer a Kamp K9 program, which means you and your dog will be treated to dog-friendly amenities such as hiking trails and a dog park and/or a dog wash station at the campground. A few KOA Holiday locations also have campsites available with a “Paw Pen” for your furry best friend. This is usually a small fenced area so your pup won’t have to spend your holiday together tethered to something. This is a nice touch, but be aware that each KOA that has the Paw Pen amenity does it a little differently.
