Diane White, 86, of United RV Center in Texas, has Passed
The RV Dealers Association (RVDA) announced today (March 24) that Diane White has passed away. Diane along with her late husband, Bill, Sr., founded United RV Center in Fort Worth, Texas.
In 1965, they started United Sales of Texas, a wholesale Mobile Home and Recreational Vehicle business. They both worked tirelessly together and were devoted to making it successful. The business later moved to Fort Worth and at one time United Sales had wholesale warehouse locations in the five surrounding states. Through both of their hard work and dedication, United Sales was a multi-million dollar company. United Sales was sold in the early 1980’s with the idea of retirement.
With the desire to continue in the RV industry they decided to open United RV Center in Fort Worth in 1985. They worked side by side until Bill’s passing in 1992. Diane helped the company grow and enjoyed working alongside her daughter and two sons over the years. Diane retired March of 2018 at the age of 80.
The Whites were active leaders in the Texas RV Association (TRVA) and RVDA, a family tradition of service to the industry which is carried on by their sons Bill, Jr. and Kevin. United RV Center is a member of the ROUTE 66 RV Network
A Celebration of Life service will be held on March 27 at 1 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX, 76012.
