MIDVALE, Utah – Camping World Holdings Inc. (CWHI) Chairman and CEO Marcus Lemonis has been appearing recently in commercial advertising for Overstock.com, a business unit of Beyond Inc. for which he serves as executive board chairman, according to multiple published reports.

Lemonis, no stranger to high profile roles as the former star of CNBC’s “The Profit,” was named to the Beyond Inc. board of directors in October of 2023.

Lemonis, according to HomeTextilesToday.com, was elevated in November to co-chair of Beyond Inc. alongside then-chair Allison Abraham. Less than two weeks later, Abraham bowed out, ending her 21-year run as a board member of the company that had operated as Overstock.com Inc. before its acquisition of Bed Bath & Beyond’s intellectual property last summer. Following her exit, Lemonis became chair of the board.

In February of this year, he stepped up to executive chairman, where he functions without a salary or guaranteed equity. His compensation will be comprised entirely of performance-based stock options with stock price hurdles to align his compensation with the creation of meaningful, long-term stockholder value. The value must rise above the trading price of Beyond’s common stock when Lemonis joined the board last October, according to the report.

“We look forward to continuing to work with Marcus in his new role as executive chairman of the board,” William Nettles, independent board member and chair of the audit committee, stated in a press release following Lemonis’ appointment to executive chairman. “His extensive experience and strategic insight have been instrumental in evolving our company since he joined the board. We are confident that his leadership will position us for the next phase of growth to deliver value to our employees, customers, and shareholders through what we anticipate will be an exciting blend of new brands and services.”

With more than 25 years of experience in business development and retail growth, Lemonis brings broad expertise in growing and scaling companies from the inside out. As chair and CEO of CWHI, he’s responsible for securing the roles of Camping World’s and its sister membership and services company, Good Sam, as the world’s largest RV and outdoor retail lifestyle group. He’s well-known for his business acumen highlighted on “The Profit” where he advised small businesses to focus on their people, process, and products to achieve stability and profitability. Lemonis also helped homeowners improve the value and function of their homes on another show, “The Renovator,” the release stated.

“I am honored to be taking on the role as executive chairman of the Beyond board of directors,” said Lemonis at the time. “I’ve enjoyed getting to know the talented team at Beyond over the past several months and I look forward to working with them more closely to capitalize on growth opportunities and set us up for the future.”rities and Exchange Commission, the employment of Holt as the division chief executive officer of Bed Bath & Beyond and co-principal executive officer ceased on June 14. The filing noted Beyond expects to enter into a separation agreement with Holt, containing a general release of claims in exchange for certain separation benefits.
