CONY to Honor 60th Anniversary During 2023 Convention – RVBusiness – Breaking RV Industry News

The Campground Owners of New York (CONY) will host its annual convention Nov. 2-5 at Turning Stone Resort in Verona, N.Y.
“This year marks the 60th anniversary of CONY, which means we’ll be celebrating our diamond anniversary — a recurring theme throughout the expo,” said Ann Kielbasa, CONY’s marketing and communications coordinator.
The annual convention includes educational workshops, a tradeshow and a gala event honoring CONY’s 60th anniversary.
“During this event, we will honor board members for their years of service, recognize campgrounds for their years of membership, and we will be inducting Don Bennett, Jr. into the prestigious CONY Hall of Fame,” Kielbasa said.
Seminar topics include:
- “What’s Trending In Social IT World and How To Stay On The Up & Up,” by Matthew Mitchell of Corporate Communications
- “Mock Trials & Legal Situations,” by Christine Taylor of The Towne Law Firm, P.C.
There will also be cracker barrel sessions and seminars addressing topics such as park maintenance and building a resilient workforce, while CPR and first aid training will be provided for an additional fee.
The keynote address, “If Disney Ran Your Park: Create a ‘Whistle While You Work’ Environment,” will be hosted by John Formica, a leading authority on tourism, hospitality and service industries who previously spent 10 years working for Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla.
Other events taking place during CONY’s annual convention include the association’s annual membership meeting, auction and a tour of The Village RV Park & Campground in Verona. More than 20 vendors are also scheduled to participate in CONY’s tradeshow.
