Consumer RV Show in Charlotte, N.C., is NCRVDA’s Largest

The North Carolina RV Dealers Association (NCRVDA) is hosting the last RV (Recreational Vehicle) show of the year in Charlotte, N.C., running from Sept. 15-18 at The Park Expo & Conference Center and featuring 11 Independent RV dealers from all over the state.

Over 175 different types and brands of brand new and used RVs will be on display for consumers, including pop-up trailers, toy haulers, travel trailers, fifth-wheels and Class A, B, B+ and C motorhomes, all with a variety of floor plans and pricing. This year’s event features a new four-day format with new show hours to benefit the consumer. The RV industry has been a traditional bellwether for consumer confidence and spending. The RV industry had record sales in 2020 and 2021 and is projecting continued growth in 2022.

According to a recent report by RV Industry Association (RVIA), “While RV ownership has been steadily growing for decades with 62% more RV owners in 2021 than in 2001, the dramatic rise in popularity since the onset of the pandemic in early 2020 has signaled a fundamental change in the way Americans travel, vacation, and live. That rise has reached new heights in 2021, with record-breaking RV production and a strong consumer intent to buy, both stirred by one of the longest standing American traditions – a yearning to visit the great outdoors.” The RVIA also reports that through July, 2022, RV shipments are up 2.5% compared to the same point last year with 353,478 wholesale shipments.

The 2022 NCRVDA RV Shows will not only bring RV Enthusiasts new RV models to compare, but also slightly used RVs that are show worthy and financeable, expanding the price range available for any family budget. RVs being presented at the Charlotte NCRVDA Show feature continued innovations and enhancements like touch screen control panels, new LED TVS and surround sound systems, travel trailers with auto leveling features, new hybrid pop-up campers, European-style van conversions and neo-classic Airstream campers; not to mention up-to-date interior design features like dark cabinets, granite counter tops, and more. The show also features RV related products for sale, free campground information, free RV educational seminars and free activities for kids.

“We are more than excited to close-out the 2022 season in Charlotte.  It truly is the best time to shop for RVs and RV related products in North Carolina”, stated Jeff Haughton, Event Director at Apple Rock Advertising & Promotions. “With free educational seminars, daily giveaways, shopping and much more, our RV show promises to be entertaining for people of all ages; a one-stop shopping destination for RVs and a fun way to plan your next family camping adventure.”

Earl B. Hunter, Jr., Founder and President of Black Folks Camp Too, will provide seminars on Friday and Sunday at Noon to share the foundational knowledge that has kept many Black people from experiencing the fun of RVing and camping.  He will also discuss the value of “inviting” more Black and underrepresented people into the great outdoors. Additional seminars include, “The Future of Camping,” by the Carolinas Association of RV Parks & Campgrounds, and “Tips on maintaining your RV’s finish.”

The hours are Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. and Sunday hours are 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults; kids 12 and under get in free.
