Caravan Salon Sees 150,000 Visitors at Half-Way Point – RVBusiness – Breaking RV Industry News

DUSSELDORF, Germany – This year’s CARAVAN SALON once again confirmed that Düsseldorf is the center of the caravanning sector, according to a press release from the organizers.

At the half-way point of the world’s largest trade fair for mobile leisure, the organizer Messe Düsseldorf is very pleased. “Despite not easy general conditions, the interest in leisure vehicles, accessories and destinations is huge. People visit the CARAVAN SALON because it is the only place where they can find, compare and also buy an unrivalled range of vehicles and products in every price category.

With more than 150,000 visitors, we have once again recorded a significant increase compared to the previous year and are very happy about this positive development of the trade fair,” said Director Stefan Koschke. It is particularly pleasing that more specialists and experts from Asia, Australia and the U.S came to Düsseldorf to find out about the new products and innovations in the industry. In addition, there is an extraordinarily high level of media interest.

The trade fair continues until September 3 and Messe Düsseldorf is expecting a large number of visitors this weekend. Stefan Koschke: “We appeal to our visitors to use public transport to get to the fairgrounds, especially on the very busy Saturday. Alternatively, if you have the opportunity, you can switch to Sunday. This visiting day promises more relaxed conversations with the manufacturers and dealers.”

“Once again, CARAVAN SALON proves its exceptional importance as a leading trade fair, because the ten trade fair days in Düsseldorf are a benchmark for the caravanning year and show where the journey is heading for our industry. Therefore, the good visitor results of the first days make us very optimistic and arouse anticipation for the second half of the trade fair. You can feel in the halls that people are now more than ever longing for freedom, flexibility and nature. Caravans and motorhomes embody and combine these elements like no other form of holiday. This brings the exhibitors a lot of visitors and great interest in the huge range of products. The media attention is also enormous and reflects the growing importance of our form of holiday and the caravanning industry, of which more and more political decision-makers are getting an idea here on site,” stated Daniel Onggowinarso, Managing Director of the Caravanning Industry Association  / Caravaning Industrie Verband e.V. (CIVD).

The special shows and the supporting program, which are perfectly geared to the interests and needs around mobile leisure, are also a hit with the attendees. “StarterWelt is the first point of contact for all beginners and newcomers who appreciate initial advice on all aspects of caravanning. Our special show on do-it-yourself conversions is also very well received and conveys the trend themes of van life and do-it-yourself precisely. The program on the “Travel & Nature CONNECTED” stage in Hall 3 entertains with an exciting mix of entertainment and presentations about destinations, equipment and leisure activities,” summarized Stefan Koschke.

At CARAVAN SALON DÜSSELDORF, more than 750 exhibitors from 37 countries are  presenting leisure vehicles, equipment and accessories for every taste and budget in 16 halls and on the outdoor exhibition area. In addition to motorhomes, caravans and campervans, the range of products includes vehicle technology, components and finishing parts, tents, mobile homes, caravanning and camping accessories & equipment, outdoor clothing and equipment, tourist destinations as well as nature regions, camping sites and pitches.
