CARAVAN SALON 2023 to Feature Travel & Nature Segment

DUSSELDORF, Germany – Hall 3 at the CARAVAN SALON trade fair has become a highlight for outdoor enthusiasts. With hiking destinations from all over the world, it will delight visitors from Aug. 25-Sept. 3, at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, according to a press release from the organizers.

The range of destinations is as varied as the preferences of hiking, cycling, climbing or paddling enthusiasts. CARAVAN SALON  Director Stefan Koschke said: “Hall 3 is the center for national and international regions and of course campsites and pitches and innovative caravanning and outdoor equipment. With our partners “Deutscher Wanderverband” and “Wandermagazin” journal we have created this platform showcasing attractive and popular destinations. I am particularly delighted that the Travel&Nature CONNECTED stage has proven a high-caliber information forum enthusiastically welcomed by visitors.”

On the Travel & Nature CONNECTED event stage, exhibitors and travel experts will create a colorful program about caravanning tourism, outdoor activities and nature experiences. The stage, which this year will be located in the center of Hall 3,  will offer visitors information about new equipment, leisure activities and destinations.

With a diverse presentation, Tourismus NRW (booth E18) will entice visitors with the 1,000 mountains of the Sauerland, the beauties of the Volcanic Eifel and the relaxed nature of the Lower Rhine. From neighboring country Belgium, the Walloon Tourist Board (C17, part-time participation August 25-29) will present an interactive map with the most beautiful destinations in southern Belgium: wild Ardennes moors, the enchanting region of the Ourthe and medieval ruins. The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is also a hiker’s paradise and will present its wild and romantic regions such as the Devil’s Gorge near Echternach (E15).

In addition to many German locations such as Münsterland, Rheingau, Sauerland, Black Forest, Glottertal valley and Thüringen, many international vacation destinations will be featured at CARAVAN SALON 2023.  Sicily will not only present itself as a unique swimming and beach paradise but also as a hiking destination, for example around Mount Etna (J17). Austria’s southernmost province, Carinthia, will introduce “lake experience, including Lake Kloppein, Europe’s warmest lake (H30). In the south of Switzerland, Ticino Tourism (H29)  will invite visitors to spectacular hiking trails and present the impressive architecture and culinary delights of its country. The Zillertal  offers unlimited skiing fun 365 days a year, fresh mountain air and action-packed bike trails (J29). The tourism association of the Zadar-Croatia region will provide information on the historic, 3,000-year-old city of Zadar and on exploring the Dalmatian coast and its mountain peaks (K25).

When it comes to campsites, information on the most exotic and beautiful campsites down under will be available at the stand of the Australian Caravan Association (C04). However, numerous top-class European campsites will also be part of CARAVAN SALON 2023 including the Mauterndorf (J27) campsite in Lungau in the province of Salzburg (Austria) and the campsites in Southern Tyrol (Austria) as well as Valencia (Spain) (G18).

Comprehensive information about campsites and worldwide vacation destinations for outdoor fans will also be available from the international vacation chains and regional associations in Hall 3. Presented there will be Camping Germany (E04), Svensk camping (A20, part-time participation August 25 – 29), Premiumcamps (D04), Molecaten (F30), Nature Vacations (H17), KUGA Tours (E16), Landvergnügen (D16 and outdoor area in front of Hall 3), Canada Dream Tours (F29), Ferienstrassen.info (A18), Spanish Camping Association (E30) and Camping Car Park (J18).
