Canadian Shipments Up 14.2% through 1st Quarter of ’24 – RVBusiness – Breaking RV Industry News

The Canadian Recreational Vehicle Association (CRVA) reports that RV wholesale shipments into Canada for the 1st Quarter ending March 31, 2024, totaled 8,086 units compared to 7,082 in 2023, representing an increase of 14.2% year over year.

According to Statistical Surveys Inc. (SSI), RVDA of Canada reported that retail activity during Q1 totaled 4,485 units, and when compared to the wholesale shipment figure of 8,086 units, Canadian RV dealer inventory levels significantly increased during the period which would be considered normal as dealers replenish their inventory for selling season and RV shows early in 2024, according to the CRVA report.

CRVA officials said they are optimistic that the trend will continue to be positive throughout 2024 given reported success at retail shows this year which attracted a large number of RV enthusiasts and potential buyers across Canada.

As economic conditions stabilize, anticipated interest rate cuts take place and consumer confidence grows, it is expected that more and more individuals and families will look at RVs as a viable option for travel and leisure and will look to purchase a new RV for the summer months.
