Campspot, a booking site and software provider for private campgrounds in North America, has recently revealed significant platform improvements in time for the peak summer camping season and announced 24/7 customer support through Labor Day, according to a press release.

To address perhaps one of the most critical support needs of customers during the busy camping season, Campspot just announced a new 24-hour, seven-day customer support service. This includes expanded email and phone summer support hours, along with after-hours support, which now provides software customers with direct support access on Sundays, commonly busy check-out and check-in days across the industry.

In addition, Campspot has bolstered its support team and is seeing the benefits of increased customer support agent training, workflow automation and modified ticket queue handling strategies to resolve customer needs more quickly, noted the release. From January to June of this year, Campspot’s customer support stats have seen an 85% improvement in average ticket handling time, 80% improvement in average time to first response for email tickets, 91% improvement in average time to close voicemail tickets and 32% improvement in the number of tickets closed within 24 hours.

“With the continued growth in demand for camping experiences, Campspot has placed an immense focus on ensuring platform stability,” states the release. “The company has implemented comprehensive measures to reinforce system performance, ensuring a seamless and efficient booking process for campers and campground owners alike. The dedication to platform stability guarantees that campers can easily access and secure their desired campsites, while campground owners can effectively manage their reservations with ease and confidence. Campspot also just recently completed the long and rigorous process to receive its SOC 2 Type 2 certification, demonstrating the company’s continued effort to maintain the highest degree of data security and excellence.”

Recognizing the need for flexibility in customer reservations, Campspot launched a feature called “Guest Self-Service: Date Changes.” This feature empowers campers to modify their reservations without the need for direct campground contact. Estimated to reduce the number of customer inquiries related to reservation edits by up to 30%, this feature streamlines operations and improves efficiency for campgrounds, enabling campgrounds to focus on delivering exceptional camping experiences this summer and beyond, notes the release.

Campspot has also introduced new platform integrations to enhance marketing and operational efficiency during busy times. One such integration is the Mailchimp audience sync integration, enabling campground owners to synchronize customer data and streamline email marketing campaigns.

“This integration ensures that campgrounds can efficiently communicate with their customers, providing them with updates, promotions and personalized offers,” states the release. “In addition, Campspot has introduced a two-way text messaging feature via SimpleTexting. This integration enables campgrounds to communicate with campers through text messages, offering real-time updates, reservation confirmations and instant support. With this efficient communication channel, campgrounds can deliver superior customer service, increase guest satisfaction, and optimize operational efficiency. These new vendors add to Campspot’s growing list of integrations enabling customers with the option to use the systems and services of their choice across the spectrum of campground management and operations needs.”
