Camping World Finalizes Purchase of 5 Lazydays, Rejects 2 – RVBusiness – Breaking RV Industry News

LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill.Camping World Holdings Inc. (NYSE: CWH), the World’s Largest RV Dealer, on Monday (March 17) announced in a press release that it has completed the purchase of five locations from Lazydays. Camping World elected to not close on two locations in Portland, Ore., and Council Bluffs, Iowa, as these locations did not meet the company’s standards, the release stated.

Locations of purchases completed included Elkhart, Ind.; Sturtevant, Wis.; Murfreesboro, Tenn.; Vancouver, Wash.; and Surprise, Ariz.

In a separate statement provided to RVBusiness, Ron Fleming, the interim CEO of Lazydays, addressed CW’s press release: “We are disappointed that Camping World has indicated to us that it will not acquire all seven locations. The Council Bluffs location, with industry leading brands by Thor and Grand Design, is a beautiful $20 million facility on a major freeway and has only been open for two years. The Portland facility is a longstanding dealership with a rich history of success with some of the industry’s premier RV brands including Grand Design and Tiffin Motorhomes.”
