Breakfast: Pair of RVIA Leaders Provide Industry Updates – RVBusiness – Breaking RV Industry News
RVIA Chair Mary Pouliot and RVIA Executive Director Craig Kirby brought the attendees up to date on some of the initiatives the association is conducting on behalf of its members, highlighting the collaborative nature of the work and the importance of each member’s contribution.

Pouliot, executive vice president of Thetford North America, specifically addressed the activity of RVIA’s government affairs teams.
Said Pouliot, “Our team (your team) is actively monitoring trade, and especially important to all of us now are tariffs.” In addition, Pouliot also highlighted the Association’s efforts in the areas of dealer floorplan financing, as several bills are currently working their way through Congress, with some nearing a vote. Another priority is engaging with the Administration and Congress to identify and affect burdensome legislation and working at the state level to influence dealer legislation.
Executive Director Kirby touted the positive contributions of the association’s GO RVing, whose mission, he said, was to attract a broader consumer base to the RV world, inspire potential RVers, and raise awareness about the benefits and accessibility of RV travel.
Kirby noted that “Our efforts are paying big dividends as RVers today are younger, more diverse, and increasingly more engaged.”

Kirby supports this claim by highlighting that the median age of RV owners has dropped from 53 in 2021 to 49 in 2025. Additionally, 46% of RV owners are now between the ages of 35 and 54. Furthermore, RV owners are spending more time traveling; the median number of days on the road has increased to 30, which represents a 50% rise since 2021.
Attendees previewed the new “Just Beyond Your Door” advertising campaign, which is expected to generate hundreds of thousands of views across Netflix, Amazon, Disney, and other media platforms.
Pouliot and Kirby concluded by urging industry professionals to participate in RVs Move America Week, which will take place from June 1 to 5 in Washington, D.C.
