Bison Herd vs. Biker Gang in Yellowstone National Park (Video)
Cindy Bartlett posted photos and videos to a Sturgis Motorcycle Rally Facebook group last month showing a group of bikers making their way through a herd of bison on the road at Yellowstone National Park. Bartlett’s commentary is pretty funny, and she’s clearly not comfortable with the situation.
“We have never seen anything like this!” she wrote in her Facebook post to the Sturgis, South Dakota group’s page.
In the video, Bartlett is riding on the back of a motorcycle, and there’s one other biker in front of them. It’s not clear how many bikers are in the group, but at times you can hear several motorcycles as they slowly make their way down the road. Bison have crowded the roadway, stopping all traffic moving in both directions.
“We’re now in the middle of this mess. We’re surrounded,” Bartlett says as she shows views both ahead and behind her. No matter where you look, there are bison.
“Super sketchy!” she says at another point, along with “I don’t like this.”
Thankfully, the bison remain calm throughout the ordeal and don’t charge at any vehicles or people. The people on motorcycles and vehicles, for the most part, seem to wait patiently for the bison to get off the road (although one biker who is heading up the group gets a little pushy at times).
