Considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Southern California, El Matador Beach features rock arches and caves. The pier is open daily from 6 AM until 9 PM.
Escondido Canyon Park
Escondido Falls is the tallest waterfall in the Santa Monica Mountains, and there are a variety of other beautiful amenities to take in at this park, including hiking, horseback riding trails, and creeks. Take the 3.5-mile out-and-back trail to see the falls. Parking at Escondido Canyon Park costs $12 per vehicle.

For a break from the mainland, take a trip out to Channel Islands National Park, made up of five small islands off the coast of Malibu. The Channel Islands offer stunning views, plenty of hiking trails, and unique plant and animal life. Make sure you book a spot on the ferry and a campsite in advance.
