Airxcel’s Online Training Now Eligible for RVTI Certification – RVBusiness – Breaking RV Industry News

WICHITA, Kan. – Airxcel Inc. announced today that all its online product training offerings are eligible for RVTI Certification via the RV Technical Institute. Airxcel offers online product training for Aqua-Hot, Suburban, and Coleman-Mach for RV dealers, service centers, and technicians.

Airxcel is currently offering the following online training, now eligible for continuing education credits (CEUs):

  • Aqua-Hot: Hydronic heat and water systems
  • Suburban: Service, installation, and repair of Suburban furnaces, water heaters, and cooking appliances
  • Coleman-Mach: Wall thermostats and zone control
  • Coleman-Mach: Basic AC training

Training is offered twice a month, online, and facilitated by instructors with extensive product knowledge and expertise. Participants must be present for the entire class to receive the link to the quiz required for completion and must pass with an 80% or higher to receive CEUs.

“We’ve created these courses around some of our most popular products,” said Tracey Viburg, Director of Customer Service for Airxcel. “We want technicians to be properly trained in the care and maintenance of these systems so they can provide the same levels of unparalleled service for the RV customer. That also gives us the confidence to know we’re sending our customers to qualified people for service and repairs.”

Viburg also said that the online platform gives technicians another option to be able to complete training. “It’s not always possible for technicians to attend in-person training, so the online courses allow them to complete the training in smaller chunks and still earn the credits needed to keep their certifications.”

“These Level 3 trainings offered by Airxcel are an excellent way for Institute-trained RV techs to master a

specialty and continue their journey along the service technician career path,” says Curtis Hemmeler, the RV Technical Institute’s Executive Director. “Airxcel has been an excellent partner right from the beginning and we immensely appreciate their support. It’s crucial for the RV industry to have more trained RV technicians, and part of achieving that involves sharing Level 3’s curriculum with certified technicians who are looking to specialize and further develop their skills. We’re excited to see these efforts continue as our partnership with Airxcel moves forward.”

Technicians with Levels 2-4 are required to complete 24 hours of CEUs to maintain their certifications with RVTI every five years.
