At first glance, the Vantage 2.4 from Active Campers reminds us of only one overland camper, the venerable and unmistakable Nimbl Evolution (built in Colfax, Calif.), as the Vantage also features a curved roof and is mounted to a flatbed (it does not, however, offer a camper to cab walkthrough).
But, according to a report by Expedition Portal, the Vantage 2.4, built by Active Campers in Woolgoolga (you have to love Australian place names) on the Gold Coast of Australia between Sydney and Brisbane, is quite unique. The Vantage 2.4 is a slide-on camper designed to complement single and extended-cab pickups seamlessly. Leveraging cutting-edge fiberglass technology and honeycomb sandwich wall panels, the Vantage 2.4 boasts an impressive combination of lightness and durability, tipping the scales at just around 1,212 pounds dry. This lightweight construction doesn’t compromise strength, ensuring the camper is built to last.
