A Good News Story! Tango Victims Get Their Nova Caravan!
In the dark days following the collapse of Tango Caravans in July/August last year, Sylwia Logan and her husband, Marcus, had no way of knowing that things would work out. You see, it all comes down to the generosity and compassion of one caravan manufacturer, the multi-award winning Nova Caravans. Specifically, I’m referring to owners Rob and Louise Cataldo, who upon seeing our interview with Sylwia last year, felt they had to do something to help.

Cut to four months later, and the day that Sylwia, Marcus and their two children had been waiting for had finally come. On March 5, they had the handover of their brand new Nova Revivor 633, a beautiful caravan complete with an east-wed bed, rear bedroom with two bunks, an upgraded 274L Thetford compressor fridge, a bathroom, a washing machine and so much more.
The smiles during handover were infectious. And who could blame Sylwia and Marcus for their happiness, especially after losing $86,000 (paid up front) to Tango for a caravan that was never built.
“We have a giant bed, a bathroom and big bunks… we just love it!” Sylwia said.

Asked what their favourite feature of their new caravan was, Sylwia immediately mentioned the L-shaped lounge. Without doubt, it’s spacious. During handover, sitting with the happy couple as well as Rob and Louise Cataldo, there were five adults around the table!
The Revivor was launched over a decade ago by Nova Caravans when there was a lull in the industry, the idea being to offer a value-for-money caravan that might spark buyer interest. And late last year seemed the right time to re-launch the model, with the Logans becoming one of the first to own one of the revamped family Revivors. The fact that it was called a ‘Revivor’ seemed fitting for the occasion, too.

Sylwia and Logan have even picked out a name for their new Nova: Phoenix. Though no mythical creatures are involved, it’s fair to say the Logans’ dreams have risen from the ashes. And to say their kids are excited would be an understatement, especially following the Tango debacle when they believed their caravanning dreams had been destroyed. As Sylwia said, their kids were at school during the handover, giddy with the knowledge that they’d be coming home to their new family caravan in their driveway!

With its Pro-Al walls (a construction technique unique to Nova), a slide-out barbecue, full internal kitchen fitout and loads of storage space, there’s no doubt this Revivor 633 will turn heads behind Sylwia and Marcus’ Ford Everest tow vehicle. But where will they take it?
To begin, they had planned a short trip to Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula – just a quick one to become accustomed to the van and all that it offered – but the next school holidays will see the family travelling to South Australia.
But wherever there travels take them, I hope you’ll join me in wishing the Logans all the best in their new van. And if I might add, if you’re in the market for a new van, I’d strongly recommend Nova. Not only does this manufacturer build excellent vans, it has shown itself to be an exceptional corporate citizen worthy of all of our support.
