‘A Casual Day at Mammoth’: Snowboarders Face 50+ MPH Winds
Have you ever checked the weather but forgot to check the wind forecast before an outdoor adventure? During the winter, that might end up being a bad call, especially if you’re planning an activity like hiking, skiing, or snowboarding. A snowboard trainer at Mammoth Mountain, a ski resort in California, posted a video of a group of snowboarders caught up in winds that whipped 50 mph (or more).

The snowboard trainer, who goes by Duncan: Snowboard Trainer @ Mammoth Mountain on Instagram, shared footage of the blustery day on Instagram, and his video went viral. Snowboarders brace themselves and even fall over from the force of the wind.
“Just a casual day at mammoth (50+ mph winds),” Duncan wrote in his post sharing the video. “Who’s riding and who’s staying home?”
