Truck Camper Magazine Eyes the ‘Truck Campers of SEMA’

Starting six years ago with Lance and Hellwig’s wild and aptly named Rule Breaker rig, the truck camper industry took serious notice of the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas. Until then the annual industry-only event was viewed as outside the scope of the truck camper marketplace. How times have changed.Today, SEMA is brimming with over-the-top Overland builds of every description. And let’s not kid ourselves here. These overland rigs are not designed solely to attract devout truck camper fans. Oh no. These lash-ups have been created – often at great expense – to capture media attention far outside our core community. Think Car and Driver, Road and Track, Motortrend, Men’s Journal, GearJunkie, and beyond.
