Considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Southern California, El Matador Beach features rock arches and caves. When you visit, be sure to check the tide schedule first, because it’s best to go to this beach during low tide. Take the trail through the eroding rock formations for a truly unique experience.

Escondido Canyon Park

Escondido Falls is the tallest waterfall in the Santa Monica Mountains, and there are a variety of other beautiful amenities to take in at this park, including hiking, horseback riding trails, and creeks. Take the 3.5-mile out-and-back trail to see the falls. Parking at Escondido Canyon Park costs $12 per vehicle.
