’24 Leadership Conference Kicks Off with Welcome Reception – RVBusiness – Breaking RV Industry News
BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. – After a handful of board meetings and an enthusiastic welcome reception yesterday, the 2024 Leadership Conference, hosted by the RV Industry Association (RVIA), shifts into a full slate of activities today at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort and Spa in Bonita, Springs, Fla.
Today’s agenda starts with one of two activities: a guided paddling trip down the Estero River in one or two-person kayaks or a volunteer clean-up event at the KOA Naples/Marco Island.
Following that, the rest of the day includes:
• Panel discussion on “Understanding the RV Industry’s Self-Regulation” featuring David Mihalick (THOR Industries), Kevin Van Bronkhorst (Winnebago Industries), and moderator Bryan Ritchie (RV Industry Association)
• Keynote presentation by Mike Veeck, a well-known guy who switch hits between baseball and business and was the subject of 2023 Netflix documentary, “The Saint of Second Chances.”
• Presentation of the inaugural RVBusiness Industry Leadership Awards, which will recognize those companies and individuals who go above and beyond their normal daily jobs to helo advance the greater good of the RV industry.
• Park Perspectives sessions on “Designing for the Adaptive Community” by Brandon Mantz of Xantrex, “Construction Materials – Weight, Sustainability & the Future” by Erin Curtis of Genesis Products, and “Moving from Day to Day to Managing a Board” by Ashley Bontrager Lehman of Ember RV.
• Group Discussion on “Unreasonable Hospitality “with Billy Peelle and Lindsey Peckham of Eleven Madison Park.
• Dinner Reception
The event concludes Thursday.
