2025 Winnebago View 24T Review: Modern, Comfortable, and Easy to Drive

Winnebago’s View (and its sister RV, the Navion), have always been excellent examples of the perfect Class C motorhome. Both models feature the classic Class C profile, complete with cabover sleep area and a boxy shape that allows the interior to feel spacious and accommodating. And with the company’s trademark build quality and excellent customer service, it’s easy to understand why the View and Navion are so well regarded both throughout the industry and with buyers.

Earlier this year, Winnebago announced that it was expanding its catalog by adding a new floorplan to the View lineup. Normally, that wouldn’t be cause for much fanfare, but in the case of the new View 24T model, there are multiple reasons to take note. For instance, this model is the first to come equipped with Winnebago Connect, an integrated smart system that makes controlling and monitoring the HVAC, lights, tanks, and other components a breeze. But a slew of other nice upgrades allow this coach to punch above its weight class in terms of style and comfort.

Recently, we had the chance to spend a few days driving and camping in the View 24T. This gave us a chance to evaluate what it brings to the table in terms of technology, convenience, and comfort. After spending some time behind the wheel—and parking at two different campsites—we came away very impressed by this latest model, which just so happens to offer a glimpse of what to expect from Winnebago in the future.

By the Numbers

With an exterior length of 25’8” and a GVWR of 11,030 pounds, the Winnebago View 24T is a modestly sized Class C. It is equipped with a 30-gallon freshwater tank, and 47- and 46-gallon black and gray water tanks, respectively. The RV also comes with a built-in 50-gallon LP tank, which powers a number of onboard appliances, including a tankless water heater, one of the burners on the stove, and an optional 3800W auto-starting generator.

Inside, the View features an interior height of 6’8”, which, combined with the single slide-out, gives it an open and airy feel. A 15k BTU air conditioner with built-in heat pump and a 20k BTU furnace keep the cabin feeling comfortable across a broad range of seasons. The A/C proved especially efficient and useful during our test drive, which took place in sweltering 90ºF+ heat. Despite those conditions, our test vehicle remained comfortable and cool at all times.

Winnebago says the View 24T can comfortably sleep three people, although we found it could accommodate more under the right circumstances. A queen-size powered Murphy bed is the primary sleep space, with a second bed located above the cab. That area is surprisingly large and can easily fit two children or a couple of adults who don’t mind getting a little cozy. Both beds are very comfortable with integrated reading lamps and charging ports adding convenience. In fact, there are plenty of places to plug in your laptop, smartphone, small appliances, and other devices, taking advantage of the RV’s 320Ah Lithionics house battery, 2,000W pure sine wave inverter, and 120W solar panels.

On the Road

Built on the Mercedes Sprinter chassis, the View comes with a host of features that quickly help veteran and new RV drivers feel comfortable behind the wheel. The View’s 2.0L turbo-diesel four-cylinder engine is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission that is responsive and relatively quick for a vehicle of this size. The standard model comes with a rear-wheel drive train, but all-wheel drive is an optional upgrade.

The Sprinter chassis comes equipped with numerous driver conveniences that further enhance the feeling of safety, security, and confidence behind the wheel. For instance, the View includes the Mercedes MBUX touchscreen infotainment system, which includes built-in navigation, SiriusXM satellite radio, voice commands, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and more. That same digital display serves as a crisp screen for the RV’s rear and side camera, which come in handy when parking or pulling into a campsite.

Other features that we appreciated include blind spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and active brake assist. A digital rear-view mirror is also a nice touch, giving drivers a better sense of what is happening around them at all times. Add in heated power driver and passenger seats with memory control and lumbar support, and you get a cab that is modern, comfortable, and relaxing, even for those who aren’t accustomed to driving an RV.

All of these features make the driving experience smoother and less stressful than ever. With cameras and sensors strategically placed around the vehicle, the driver always has a good sense of their surroundings, making it easy to avoid potential hazards before they become an issue. The rear view mirror, which is actually a digital display, is especially helpful and will likely come standard in more vehicles in the near future. But adaptive cruise and lane-keep assist were also much appreciated, allowing us to easily navigate everything from four-lane highways to narrow country roads—and even some gravel—with equal aplomb.

At the Campsite

Of course, it doesn’t matter how well an RV drives if it isn’t much fun to camp in. Fortunately, that isn’t an issue with the View—it is a Winnebago after all—as this model offers a comfortable and refined camping experience. That starts with high-quality furnishings and appliances that are more common in a Class A motorhome than a typical Class C. Those include things like power reclining theater seating, a large residential-style refrigerator, and woven vinyl flooring. A 32” LED HDTV, a JBL Bluetooth soundbar, and an integrated digital TV antenna are also nice touches.

The View 24T’s galley kitchen is also nicely appointed. It includes laminate countertops, a stainless steel single-basin sink, and plenty of storage in the form of cabinets and pullout pantries. A two-burner stove—one induction and one LP—makes whipping up a meal a breeze, while the two-door 12V refrigerator has room for both fresh and frozen foods. We were especially impressed with the microwave/convection oven, which was so quiet that we had to double-check that it was running at all. Seriously, it is just as large and efficient as the model in our kitchen back home, but it barely made a sound while in use.

The bathroom is located in the rear of the vehicle, with a sliding pocket door providing a measure of privacy from the living space. Inside, you’ll find a porcelain toilet with a foot pedal, a small sink, a mirrored medicine cabinet, and a large wardrobe with sliding doors, two drawers, and several shelves. One side of the room is dominated by a 30” x 34” shower with a built-in seat and a retractable door. The shower was a little small for my 6’2” frame, but an overhead skylight allowed me to stand up inside without too many issues.

The exterior of the View has a few features of note, too. For instance, it has a powered awning with integrated LED lighting and Bluetooth control. Opening the door to enter or exit automatically extends the stairs, while LED porch and step lights illuminate the campsite. You’ll also find ample storage, including a spacious rear gear garage with room for two bikes. If those happen to be e-bikes, there are even a couple of 120V AC power outlets to recharge their batteries.

Winnebago Connect

While we plan on doing a separate article with more thoughts on Winnebago Connect, we’d be remiss if we didn’t at least mention it here. The View 24T is the first model to come with this new integrated intelligent system, although eventually it will make its way to every new Winnebago RV that rolls off the assembly line.

As with similar control and monitoring systems found in RVs from other manufacturers, Winnebago Connect gives owners full control over interior and exterior lighting, HVAC settings, onboard water systems, and more. The system can be used to activate the slide-out, awning, and even the water heater and pump. It monitors the RV’s holding tanks and power management systems. It even has a “Pet Minder” mode that lets you set the interior temperature to keep your furry friend comfortable while you’re away. Pairing your phone with Winnebago Connects puts all of that functionality at your fingertips and allows the system to send alerts and reminders should something require your attention.

Some of Winnebago Connect’s features—like its built-in Wi-Fi router and the ability to adjust settings from anywhere in the world—require a monthly subscription fee, although owners do receive a year of free service when they purchase the view. That said, the vast majority of its functionality works just fine without paying anything extra. If you do purchase a premium subscription, you’ll have the option to activate or deactivate the service at anytime, making it convenient for use while camping, without racking up additional charges while the vehicle is in storage for the winter.

Because Winnebago owns the entire tech stack upon which Winnebago Connect is built, the system is more tightly—and neatly—integrated into the company’s RVs. This allows it to do things that similar systems from other manufacturers simply can’t. For instance, customer service reps can use WC to diagnose any issues an owner might be having with their vehicle, potentially fixing the problem remotely. Better still, over-the-air software updates will allow Winnebago to refresh the software on a regular basis, fixing potential bugs and adding new features along the way.

Our time with Winnebago Connect convinced us that it is the future of RVing. The system worked flawlessly during our testing, both from a smartphone and the built-in touchscreen mounted on the wall of the View. The convenience the system delivers is unprecedented, especially when turning on and off specific components and monitoring the RV’s electrical and plumbing systems.

A Class C for Couples

As noted above, the View 24T floorplan is designed to comfortably sleep three, or maybe four, in a pinch. But during our time with the vehicle, we couldn’t help but think that it made the perfect couple’s coach, with room for a visitor or two from time to time. The interior space is ideally set up for two, with storage space to support weekend getaways, cross-country road trips, and extended-season camping. The fact that you can do all of that in style and comfort is simply icing on the cake.

The Winnebago View 24T model starts at $253,883. At that price, the RV delivers a lot of bang for your buck. Not only does it feature cutting-edge technology that isn’t found in any other model on the market at the moment, it also offers a surprisingly comfortable and well-appointed interior, not to mention a refined driving experience. All of that makes the View very easy to recommend for anyone in the market for a new Class C.
