2024’s Top 10 Most-Searched-for Hiking Areas Will Surprise You
Google has released its Year in Search 2024, which reveals the United States’ top most-searched-for terms from 2024. This includes the most-searched-for topic (the election), the most-searched-for person (Donald Trump), and the most-searched-for musician (Usher), as well as some obscure search queries, such as the most-search-for pickle recipe (dill pickle bread recipe). But, as far as we’re concerned, the most interesting results from Google’s Year in Search 2024 was the list of 10 most-searched-for hiking areas.
The hiking area in the top spot might surprise you. It wasn’t a hiking trail in Yosemite or Zion or the Grand Canyon. In fact, it isn’t in a national park at all. (Here’s a hint: It’s in New York!) Of the hiking areas that made up the top 10 in terms of Google search volume in 2024, three are in Arizona.
