WCM's Park UpdateA new episode of WCM’s Park Update premieres today (Oct. 25) at 3 p.m. EDT and features Kama Humphrey, KOA’s director of training and events, who discusses the franchise system’s upcoming convention in Orlando, Fla., from Nov. 14-17.

Humphrey notes during the show that the conference will feature a variety of educational sessions, an IdeaXchange, a large expo and some exciting entertainment options as the franchise system celebrates its 60th year.

Some of the highlights of this year’s conference:

  • The opening event at his year’s conference is going to be held at Universal City Walk. “We are closing down an entire section of the City Walk specifically for KOA attendees,” Humphrey explained. “We will have four different entertainment venues that our attendees will be able to go in, including a piano bar, reggae club, a live band and karaoke and the coconut club. Then we are going to head over to Marvel Superhero Island after park hours for an exclusive event. We will have the opportunity for attendees to do all of the superhero rides and have dessert.”
  • Phil Hansen is set to give a keynote address on “Embrace the Shake — Transforming Limitations into Opportunities” during lunch on Nov. 15.
  • During the evening of Nov. 15, the KOA Owners Association will be hosting a night out at Dezerland Park, one of Florida’s largest indoor attractions.

Humphrey also explores some of the educational sessions that will be offered during the show and more.
