Today (Jan. 9), Tiffin Group, a family-run company with more than 50 years of building world-class RVs, announced that it will diversify its motorized product offerings to focus on the growing Class B and Class C market segments, according to a release. The strategy of streamlining their business is based on consumer data, dealer input and current market conditions which point to promising opportunities in motorized RV growth categories.

To effectively position the business for future success, the release continued, Tiffin Group is restructuring the organization to focus on the products consumers and dealers are requesting. The reorganization includes the discontinuation of operations at Vanleigh RV, Tiffin Group’s towable division in Burnsville, Miss., effective in March.

All Vanleigh RV warranty and customer support needs will be honored in a manner consistent with Tiffin’s historical, best-in-industry practice. Last year, Vanleigh RV’s service operations were integrated with existing Tiffin service operations to improve customer care. The centralized service operations will ensure Tiffin’s long-term ability to provide excellent customer support and faithfully honor all Vanleigh RV warranty needs.

The Tiffin Group will provide resources to individuals impacted by the plant closure to assist them in their search for future employment, in addition to assistance from the Mississippi Department of Employment Security rapid response teams.

“This decision is especially personal to me since I founded VLRV in 2014,” said Leigh Tiffin, president of Tiffin Group, “but we are dedicated to our vision of diversifying our motorized product offering to become the RV industry’s premier full-line motorized OEM. We are confident the tough choices we are making are necessary to successfully support our customers, team members, business partners, and local communities for many years to come.”
