Tasha Patterson Joins NRVTA as Executive Assistant

ATHENS, Texas – The National RV Training Academy (NRVTA) today announced Tasha Patterson joined the staff Feb. 6 as the new executive assistant to Todd Henson, the school’s director of education, according to a press release.

She is responsible for onboarding NRVTA’s teaching assistants, preparing activity reports and managing daily attendance records for all courses. Patterson will continue working to standardize operating procedures throughout the academy and maintain records involving students and staff.

Originally from Louisiana, where she took accounting classes at Louisiana State University, Patterson and her husband moved to the Dallas area in 2004. For the past 17 years, she served as the office manager at a motorcycle driving school in Dallas.

“When I saw the job description to be an NRVTA executive assistant, it seemed as though it was written specifically for me. It required the exact skillset I possess,” said Patterson. “I like being part of a fun, exciting and growing industry. The students and staff have been super nice to me, and I just clicked with the team and the program from the moment I walked on campus.”

Henson said he is looking forward to working closely with Patterson.

“We continue to outpace our attendance projections year after year. That requires us to have a strong team of teaching assistants working closely with our instructors in the hands-on labs. We want students to understand what we are teaching, and be able to apply that information to their chosen professions,” he explained.

“My job requires me to spend more time in the classroom and less time managing all the administrative duties it takes for NRVTA to function at peak efficiency,” said Henson. “I am confident Tasha will play a big role in the success of our programs going forward.”

In her off-time, Patterson and her husband serve as trail guides leading people on short interpretive hikes at Blackland Prairie Raptor Center, which is a rehabilitation facility for injured birds of prey. The couple is also involved in renovating 24 acres of property around their home into a wildflower garden for butterflies and other pollinators. The couple owns two cats.
