Suburban Adds ‘Stow Away Steps’ to RV Accessories Lineup

SUBURBAN, an AIRXCEL brand, debuted Suburban Steps at the Airxcel December Product Showcase, held Dec. 7-8 in Elkhart, Ind., according to a release.

Suburban Steps come in two widths: 26” to 30” (narrow) and 30” to 36” (wide). The treads have a non-slip surface with slots that allow for rain, dirt, and gravel to fall through to the ground. When the steps are folded in for storage, less dirt and gravel is tracked into the RV.

One of the key features of Suburban Steps is the quick adjust leveling feet. Users can easily adjust to their preferred setting with one hand and retract the steps with a push of a button instead of having to remove a pin or use two hands to level the steps.

“Our goal is to provide a full line of entry step solutions for our OEM partners,” said Troy Nusbaum, Airxcel’s Vice President of OEM Sales. “As we continue to evolve the design of Suburban’s steps, we’re striving for steps that are lighter in weight and easily latch into place by locking in the door frame. We’re designing steps that require less pull force to lift when folding them for storage. We’re listening to what our customers and OEMs are telling us is important to them and that is driving our product design.”

Suburban’s steps are made in the U.S. and have 2-step, 3-step, and 4-step options. To arrange a demo or to learn more about Suburban Steps, contact John Eaton, [email protected].
